About Ashlee
Ashlee is a published and qualified writer (Ngati Awa, Tūwharetoa, Te Arawa) whose work in short story collections, magazines, newspapers and blogs often reflect her own life experiences.
She is working on several novels that may one day get published.
Ashlee loves the Māia Publishing ethos of supporting and uplifting NZ writers to have their stories in the world.
Ashlee is our project leader and does all our book design!
About Olivia
Olivia Aroha Giles (Kahungunu, Raukawa, Te Ati Awa and Te Whanau a Apanui) is a contemporary Māori artist and writer from Wellington.
Olivia writes novels about educated, feisty, successful Maori Women working their way through the drama of life; sometimes feeling as if they've been given the wrong instruction manual.
Olivia loves the Māia Publishing kaupapa of giving wahine the confidence to write and publish their stories.
Olivia is our chief editor and is also our talented cover artist!
Cassie Hart
Cassie (Kāi Tahu/Pākehā) is an award winning author, editor, and mentor living under the watchful gaze of Taranaki Maunga. Cassie edited the stories in INHALE.
